Welcome

Welcome to 2nd Grade Spotlight!  I am so excited to be apart of Hope Sullivan Elementary School and working with your child. I have been working in DeSoto County Schools for nearly 20 years. Teaching 2nd Grade Spotlight is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn critical thinking skills, communication skills, be creative, apply social skills, and to provide enrichment opportunities for a educational growth.

BIO - I was born and raised in Michigan and have a Journalism degree from Central Michigan University. My husband and I have 3 children, 2 boys and a girl; all 3 are (or about to be) Ole Miss graduates in Engineering. About the time my youngest was in school, I went back to college and received my teaching certification from Belhaven University.  I taught 4th Grade ELA at Pleasant Hill Elementary before switching to 2nd Grade Spotlight here at Hope Sullivan. My family and I love to travel to visit family out of state.  I enjoy reading, playing games, camping, traveling, and cooking.
