I am so excited for my fourth year at The Hope! The Montessori saying goes "play is the work of the child;" we engage in many hands on, multi-sensory and play. based learning activities to keep students engaged in learning.
I earned my BSE in elementary education from Delta State University and my M.ED in curriculum and instruction from Louisiana State University at Shreveport.
I have taught 4th grade, 5th grade, 2nd grade and special education. I spent the last several years teaching in the adapted resource setting and am excited to be back in the classroom in the inclusion setting!
I am originally from the Jackson, Mississippi area and have lived in Southaven for the last few years.
When not at school, I enjoy reading, cooking and spending time with my husband son and cats.
